Check Out our Updated Volunteer Options!

We have just updated Choose Blue's "Volunteer Options" page to include the most up-to-date information on the various volunteer options that we offer our members and website visitors. As the different volunteer initiatives we refer people to meet their various goals and milestones during the campaign season, they often change the specifics of the volunteer help they are looking for. Here are some updates to make note of:

• One of our most popular volunteer options, "Postcards to Swing States", recently achieved their goal of 36 million sign-ups for postcard writing and has now stopped taking on new sign-ups. However, the organization "Indivisible Evanston" in Evanston, IL still is taking sign-ups for a stash of "Postcards to Swing States" postcards they have in their possession, and interested volunteers can still sign-up for those cards for as long as they last. But the cards have to be picked up in person in the Evanston, IL area. Additionally, "Postcards to Swing States" is now informing potential volunteers about other volunteer tasks that can be taken on through a web site and through email communications for those who enroll.

• There is now an active letter writing initiative for volunteers offered through the "Sierra Club Independent Action" group. This is a volunteer activity for those who are most motivated and interested in supporting politicians who are dedicated to climate change and the environment.

• We have updated the information for Democratic National Committee volunteer activities in two specific areas: Digital Correspondence and Online Engagement. These volunteer options are for those who are more tech savvy and have solid experience with texting, email, and social media.
